Just recently started use Corel Painter, and with my pen tablet, I wanted to practice using them with my drawings.  Since I'm also practicing face and facial expressions, combining all these tools will help my evolution as an artist.

This drawing is one of many practice runs that I will be conducting with my pen tablet. The goal is to become comfortable and gain an organic feel with my pen tablet. 

Power

This logo design is the first and soon of many to be done on my new pen tablet.  This also served the purpose as a practice run with the tablet.

This is a revision of the Romulus and Remus myth story that I have been working seen the start of this year.  The short story, which will be a total of 11 pages, will be from the view of Remus before and after his death. I will also be infusing Greek Mythology within the story.

Thanatos and The Erinyes

Thanatos: Daemon personification of death.

The Erinyes: "Netherworld goddess who avenged crimes against the natural order. They were particularly concerned with homicide, unfilial conduct, crimes against the gods, and perjury."

 Persephone, Queen of the Underworld and wife of Hades.

Zagreus

 Another sketch of Zagreus: Son of Hades.  Just wanted to get a better feel for drawing the character and also wanted to make his attire more define.

This is just a sketch of the Black Costume Spider-Man. Haven't drawn Spider-Man for while now and this picture was great practice.  Plus, Black Costume Spider-Man was always my favorite.

Zagreus: Son of Hades

I've been in the process of wanting to start a web comic and this drawing of the main character, Zagreus, is the beginning of that process.  According to various Greek Myths, the ancient figure of Zagreus is either Dionysus reincarnated, the son of Zeus and Persephone, or the son of Hades and Persephone. For my Zagreus character, I'm taking the route for him being a demigod, so his parentage will be of a mortal woman and Hades.  Most demigods in Greek Myth are mostly pictured as attractive, handsome men, but I wanted my depiction of Zagreus to reflect the opposite. I wanted to give him more of a inhuman, unearthly illustration.

This Dragon tattoo is a commissioned design for a friend.  The client wanted tribal base design for the dragon, so I use various tribal picture references to construct this picture.

This three page comic was for a class project.  The idea was to think of a theme and use that theme to develop the story, and this was the result. This project also gave me an excuse to infuse some gore elements to the story (page 2, panel 3) and a shark man. Sea +Shark man + Abusive man = Win!
